Discover how to make one of Japan's most popular rice ball options - onigiri with salmon! This rice ball is one of my favorites. I am confident that if you try this snack, you will love it too!
Fry the salmon
Heat a pan on medium and add unsalted butter. Once melted, add the salmon and fry until cooked all the way through.
Break the salmon into small flakes and add soy sauce. Stir fry until all of the soy sauce is absorbed.
Transfer the seasoned salmon flakes to a large heatproof bowl.
Add the cooked rice, sesame seeds and green onions and mix until evenly distributed.
Sprinkle your onigiri mold (or damp hands) with salt and shape the rice into a triangle.
Once shaped, wrap with nori and enjoy!
