Cut the chocolate

Finely cut the chocolate into flakes. The smaller the flakes, the easier it will melt.

Heat the cream

Combine the cream, butter and liquor (if using). Heat in the microwave in 20-30 second intervals until about 70 °C (158 °F).  (Alternatively, heat in a saucepan on the stovetop.)

Combine

Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let it sit for about 30 seconds. Stir until the melted chocolate and cream are combined.

Chill

Line a mold with baking paper and pour the chocolate mixture inside. Smooth out the top, cool to room temperature and then chill in the fridge for 3-4 hours.

Cut

Trim the edges and cut into squares. Dust with cocoa powder and enjoy!
