Description

How to make simple and refreshing hiyayakko (Japanese chilled tofu) with your favourite toppings! (Serves 1)


Ingredients

Scale
  • 150g chilled tofu (firm or silken depending on your preference)

Toppings in picture:

  • 1 tbsp bonito flakes
  • 1 tbsp chopped spring onion
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • A drizzle of soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Peel the film off of the packaging of the tofu and pour out the liquid.
  2. Turn out the block of tofu onto a plate. (If you're using a large block of tofu you can cut it into halves or quarters for multiple servings.)
  3. Add your desired toppings.
  4. Enjoy!
